The key to beating deadly skin cancer is education, early detection, diagnosis and treatment. This is where the Melanoma Detection Bracelet can help. It contains high quality Swarovski crystal beads of tan, brown, black, white, red, and blue which are the colors found in melanomas. Variations in color is one of the five warning signs of melanoma. The ABCDE's of early melanoma detection: Asymmetry, Border, Color, Diameter, and Evolving. Asymetry is where one half of the pigmented lesion is unlike the other half. Check the Border of moles and pigmented lesions. Skin cancers usually have irregular, scalloped or poorly defined borders. Melanomas are usually varied in color from one area to another and have shades of color ranging from tans, browns, black, sometimes white, red or even blue. The Diameter of the crystals on the Melanoma Detection Bracelet are 6 mm which is generally the size of melanomas when first diagnosed. Use the Melanoma Detection Bracelet to check the diameter of suspected skins lesions. Evolving describes how moles and skin lesions change in size, shape or color. Establish a "baseline" and compare pigmented lesions over time for evolving size, shape, and color.
